All white men aged six to sixty, were required to enlist and conduct armed patrols every night which consisted of: Searching slave residences, breaking up slave gatherings, and protecting communities by patrolling the roads. Historian Sally E. Hadden, notes:
“In the countryside, such patrols were to ‘visit every Plantation within their respective Districts once in every Month’ and whenever they thought it necessary, ‘to search and examine all Negro-Houses for offensive weapons and Ammunition.’ They were also authorized to enter any ‘disorderly tipling-House, or other Houses suspected of harboring, trafficking or dealing with Negroes’ and could inflict corporal punishment on any slave found to have left his owner’s property without permission. ‘slave patrols’ had full power and authority to enter any plantation and break open Negro houses or other places when slaves were suspected of keeping arms; to punish runaways or slaves found outside their plantations without a pass; to whip any slave who should affront or abuse them in the execution of their duties; and to apprehend and take any slave suspected of stealing or other criminal offense, and bring him to the nearest magistrate.”
Free blacks and “suspicious” whites who associated with slaves were also supervised. Slaves lived in a state of trauma and paranoia due to the terror that these patrols instilled in them. McKinney police said Sunday that an officer has been placed on administrative leave after a Friday evening disturbance at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool that created a buzz on social media.
Police said the incident involved “multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave.”
According to a statement from police spokeswoman Sabrina Boston, nine units were dispatched after the first responding officers “encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands.”
Boston acknowledged that a seven-minute YouTube video “raised concerns” about the actions of one officer, who is seen using profanity and throwing a young woman in a bathing suit to the ground. Police did not name the officer.
Boston said Chief Greg Conley would make a statement about the incident at 2 p.m. Sunday. WFAA.com plans to carry the chief’s remarks live.
Brandon Brooks, who posted the unedited video clip titled Cops Crash Pool Party on Saturday, wrote that “this kind of force is uncalled for, especially on children and innocent bystanders.”
The regular media tries to focus the extent of the problem to being possibly confined to the acts of the main star of the video. I like examining what those around this guy did, such as the people who did nothing and the people who assisted him. There are doctrines of liability known as Respond eat Superior and Vicarious.
One of the first things I noticed in the video was the Slave Patrol Officer demonstrate aggression and Hostility to the dark skin male children, following by forcing them to lay or sit on the ground, followed by handcuffing one of the dark skin male adolescents.
Then the Slave Patrol Officer used foul language such as get your Ass gone yelling at the children. The commotion got really high when the officer attacked one of the dark skin females. Prior to that many of the females walked in an around the males while the males were being subjected to restraint treatment.
There was nothing viewed in this video that could be said as being distinct from the interaction between Slave Patrols and African Slaves.
What I also notice aside from the Slave Patrol Officers clearly racist conduct was the lack of concern that the females had when the males were being denied their freedom of mobility, this dynamic was existed in during Slavery and still exist today, what the laymen attempts to do is brush to the side the fact that lingering vestiges, badges and incidents of slavery are still among us and in my opinion the law enforcement as it exist today is a relic of slavery.
Which explains reasonably why there are Grown Adult white men with blue pants and another with shorts totally in the mix of the officers interaction with these children and these white men do not appear to be officers.
There is not one time that I have seen in this video where these White men were ordered by the Officers to get out the way. One of the Most Depressing parts about this video is it reminded me of experiences I had as a youth with the Slave Patrols.
I can re-call being the center of police brutality as a 15 year old simply because I did not understand my obligation to get on the ground when ordered by an Officer to do so, not understanding probable cause, or even whether or not probable cause existed, I ultimately became the subject of physical abuse because i was involved with other kids who were sharing a large bag of Doritos and slammed to the ground, choked, handcuffed and taken to the station until I was able to be picked up by my mother. I envisioned my mother giving them the business when she came to pick me up, but again I was under a delusion, in fact I got yelled at. This so called Drug are were the neighborhood basket ball courts in this case it appears these kids were at a swimming pool.
There were no charges filed against me, but I knew something wasn’t right, especially when the excuse given to my mother was that the location was known for Drug Activity and it was believed there were drugs in the large Dortio bag being passed from youth to youth in sharing the Dorito’s but my feelings were more disturbed by the fact that all of the people I thought were my friends did nothing, similar to the children in this video, you can hear others yelling that’s my sister, etc but they simply stood back and watched the young female be subdued and dominated by the adult White Man in a police uniform, he put his knees in her back, there was no attempt by her to run away or to physically fight back even during a time when her life was in danger, this Officer has not idea of her physical health but its willing to place it under threat without a second thought. Blacks or African Americans, Negroes, or Niggas like they call each other have a lower value of their own lives than other groups have for there’s, I would even go as far as to say that the value level they place on their own lives is as low as the Slave Patrols, but they all scream Black Lives Matter or Black Women’s lives matter.
I can’t imagine these things taking place in White neighborhoods, I can see in that situations Officers doing alot of talking and not a lot of touching. Here in this video this officer had no regard for causing a back injury to this child and I myself and overly disgusted not just by the conduct of the Slave patrol but by the conduct of those who considered themselves to her friends and loved ones.
On another Notes I think these types of video are refreshing as to just exactly the nature what law enforcement currently represents to the black community no matter how many uncle and auntie toms or mammy’s are in their leagues, and the results currently just demonstrate the lack of moral and integrity existing in the hearts and minds of the so called Negro, African American or Black, She and He will not take the necessarily steps to to ensure the safety of their progeny.
